Brett was very helpful in the design stage and provided lots of great advice and support. The carport was delivered and looks great. We had some minor issues with damaged panels on supply, but Brett spoke with the local supplier and the items were replaced at no cost within a few days. Gable Roof

We offer gable roof carports with roof pitches of 10, 15, 20, or 25 degrees. This feature allows for a seamless blend with your house roof or provides extra clearance height. We have three types of gable roofs:

Open gable end roof carport with deluxe full-width flashing on gable ends to cover the rafters.
Open gable with standard barge capping end flashings that only cover the gap between your sheets and rafters (the economical version).
Classic gable roof carport with a gable end infill. This is the triangular section on the front of the carport, which can be on the front, back, or both.

Open gable prices start from $4,095 for a single and $5,250 for a double, and the classic gable with infills prices start from $4,180 for a single and $5,395 for a double.

Skillion Roof

A skillion carport is a flat-roofed carport that is designed on a slight angle to allow water to run off.

Our skillion carports are available in 2, 5 or 10-degree roof slope options, which enables us to blend the structure into the surroundings.

You can choose from our off-the-shelf sizes such as a 3mx6m for a single size, or 6mx6m for a double size.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need council approval to build a carport in the Newcastle NSW area?

Before you build, you should contact the Newcastle City Council Building and Planning Department to ensure you can build your proposed steel building on your property.

Here’s what you will need:

NSW Certificate of Compliance (we provide this)
Engineering plans (we provide this)
Architectural drawings (we provide this)
A site plan is a site map showing where you plan to build. (we do not provide this)
Additionally, please provide any application forms and fees associated with the approval process.

It’s also important to note that most councils will require you to build within certain criteria. You can always phone the Newcastle council building department and give them your address. They are quite good at providing the correct information that you need to know over the phone. Once you know what to do, the application process is actually quite easy.

Here are the regulations you will need to abide by, but keep in mind that they may vary from area to area and street to street. This is general information only.

Stay clear of underground services like sewerage, water and stormwater pipes, and easements.
Maintain a 6m Setback from the road frontage or front boundary line.
Maximum height is determined by neighbouring properties.
Setback requirements increase for larger structures.
Buildings can cover a maximum of 50% of the property

How long does it take for delivery?

Our manufacturing lead time is typically 4 weeks; there are times when this can be three weeks and other times when it can stretch out to 5 weeks. We do our best to maintain a 4-week lead time on all orders.

How is the order delivered?

Your order will be delivered as a flat pack; this means that all the steel rafters, beams and columns are bonded together, the roof sheets are all bundled together, and all other parts are bundled together, with some smaller items delivered loose. The delivery driver will unload using a Hyab truck. This crane is on the back of the truck and will unload one pack at a time until it is complete. You will receive a packing list at the time of delivery, so please ensure you check it off as best you can.
