Gable Roof Patio Kits
The gable roof is a simple pitched roof design that can be open or have a front and rear horizontal collar tie section. This design is simple and offers a high-quality, unique finished appearance that is sure to impress your friends and family. Enhance your outdoor patio area with a gable roof design and start enjoying your outdoor space.
Flat Roof Patio Kits
A flat roof patio design is simple and easy to plan and build. It consists of four external perimeter beams as bearers, with internal rafter sections. Each steel member is designed to easily connect with a range of dedicated brackets. The flat roof can be designed to cover a small patio or a larger outdoor patio space.”
Free Standing Patio Roof Kits
If you’re in need of a free-standing patio, the Stramit Outdoor patio range has you covered. This patio is available with either cast-in ground footings or bolt-down footings. The bolt-down footing bracket is a steel bracket that attaches to the concrete using screw bolts and then secures to your columns using either bolts, tek screws, or a combination of both. It’s covered with a small sleeve to hide the bolts, making it a great option for those who already have concrete to bolt to. The cast-in ground option for the free-standing patio involves extra length on the column, usually between 600mm – 800mm, which we provide. This allows you to dig your footings and cement the posts directly into the ground. Both options are suitable for most applications, and the choice ultimately depends on your preference and budget.
Attached Patio Roof Kits
You can attach any of the listed roof styles to your house, shed, or building by using a backing channel, roof penetration extend brackets, or a structural gutter. These options provide multiple attachment options to suit most methods. The most common method is the backing channel that attaches to the house fascia. To do this, simply remove your house fascia flashing, reinforce your truss tail ends with some timber blocks, and reattach your flashing. Your backing channel can now be attached to your fascia flashing by screwing coach bolts into the timber blocks you have just installed. You can find full details on this “How to” in our construction guide. This attached patio roof product is available in full-colour beams and posts or galvanized and can be supplied as a cheap roof cover solution or a high-gloss painted patio roof. Insulated Roof Patio Kits
Insulated patio roof panels are available in 50mm, 75mm, or 100mm thickness and come in all Colorbond colors for the top and a standard off-white color for the bottom. When using this design, fewer rafters are usually needed as the panels are strong and self-supporting, capable of spanning large distances without the need for mid-rafters and posts. This provides a great way to make the most of your outdoor space while also regulating the temperature, creating a space that can be used throughout the year.
Fly-Over Patio Kits
The flyover patio roof design is a very common roof design that allows the patio roof to be higher than the eave height of the house. The structure consists of jacking posts that are connected through the roof of the house, providing stable support for the main side bearer of the new roof structure. Usually used with insulated panels, this design allows for the creation of a spacious outdoor entertaining area with added height, good air flow, and the option to install a ceiling fan and attractive down lights. While this is the ideal patio roof solution, it is also the most expensive. If you provide us with your measurements, we can give you a quote for a flyover patio roof for your outdoor area.
